What will you leave behind?

Posted by Ronda Conger on

As the years pass by and you collect wisdom - if someone were to ask you what advice would you leave behind, what would you say? Sam Altman in his blog, The days are long but the decades are short, leaves us a list that makes you feel full and alive. Here are a few of his wisdom's that struck us deep:

  • Never put your family, friends, or significant other low on your priority list.  Prefer a handful of truly close friends to a hundred acquaintances.  Don’t lose touch with old friends.  Occasionally stay up until the sun rises talking to people.  Have parties.
  • Life is not a dress rehearsal—this is probably it.  Make it count.
  • Have clear goals for yourself every day, every year, and every decade.
  • Go out of your way to be around smart, interesting, ambitious people.
  • Don’t worry so much.
  • Exercise.  Eat well.  Sleep.  Get out into nature with some regularity.
  • Go out of your way to help people.  Few things in life are as satisfying.
  • This too shall pass.
  • Forgive people.
  • Be a doer, not a talker.
  • The days are long but the decades are short.

Fill your cup and read the whole list here. How will you live your next years and what wisdom will you leave behind?

It's not too late to start living by this wisdom, it's all about being a Better Human and you can start today
