Maybe it's to disguise them or the latest fashion trend, either way, research has shown that it does, in fact, do one thing.

The University of Hertfordshire in England did a study on their students who wore a superman shirt versus not. Here's what they found:

• It boosted their impression of themselves
• Made them feel physically stronger
• They were more likeable
• Had more confidence

All because of a simple shirt. But, it doesn't have to be a shirt. It could be a pair of socks, earrings, or shoes. What you wear can change your brain.
